Inexpensive and so far so good By Alan S Yee
I was skeptical that this replacement lamp would work given the inexpensive price as compared to similar lamps.
The housing was missing the two mesh filters, but was otherwise as expected.
Installation was a breeze and the TV powered on without any problems.
On a related note, if you've continued to have problems with the lamps failing after replacing them, the problem could be with a faulty part in your TV. I have a Mitsubishi DLP projection TV that failed within a year of purchase. I replaced the lamp only to have it fail within a short period again.
After contating Mitsubishi tech support I learned that it was a known issue with a temperature sensor I believe. They scheduled a repairman to come out and replace the faulty part at no charge and my replacement lamp worked.
I do notice that the lamps last about a year with average TV use.
I'm hoping this replacement lamp does as well. For the price, I don't mind changing it every 13-14 months.

looks and feels cheap By Fractal32
I bought this as a back up bulb for the living room TV so I can't say whether or not this works or not. I compared it to the old burned out bulb/casing that I haven't gotten around to throwing out and I can honestly say there is a giant quality difference. There is no screen that covers the vents so dust and/or larger particles are going to make their way in there shortening the life of the bulb.
I had hoped that this was going to be close to the OEM products I have been buying, but this looks more like someone took a used housing and crammed a new bulb in there. I can't find anything really good to say about this product. I just hope it gets pulled and replaced with something with a bit more quality behind it.

Don't buy this product By Larry
I really should have read the other reviews before buying this product which I thought was as good as the original equiptment. It is not. It is only a "compatable" product. And the item does not look like the picture provided. It has no screens on the case like original equipment bulbs to prevent dust from collecting on the bulb. The bulb that I purchased from Electrified lasted less than 3 months with only minimal use. Buyer beware. These "knockoff's" could possibly damage you t.v. I learned the hard way. Buy only original equipment bulbs even if they cost more.
